This policy explains what information Cartlum (cartlum.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website, the free Cartlum plugin for WooCommerce and Cartlum Pro.
1. What the free Cartlum plugin sends us (only if you agree)
The free plugin sends us nothing unless the store owner presses “Yes, share” on Cartlum’s Today screen or ticks Settings → Privacy → Share usage with Cartlum. If you agree, once a week your store sends us:
- your site address, store name and admin email address;
- your WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, Cartlum and Cartlum Pro versions, theme, language and SMS gateway name;
- which Cartlum settings are switched on.
It never sends your customers’ details, orders, carts, messages, API keys or passwords. We use this to see which features stores use, to fix problems with particular setups, and sometimes to email you about Cartlum. To stop, untick the setting; nothing more is sent.
When you deactivate Cartlum, an optional box asks why. Only if you press “Send and deactivate” do we receive your answer and your version numbers, plus your site address, store name and email only if you had agreed to share usage. “Skip and deactivate” sends nothing.
2. Cartlum Pro licences
When you activate, check or update Cartlum Pro, your site sends us your licence key and site address. We keep them to manage your licence, its activations and its updates.
3. Cartlum fraud network (Pro, off unless you turn it on)
If you turn on the fraud network, your store sends us, for each phone number with orders, a one-way hash of the number and how many of its orders were delivered, returned, cancelled or fake. We store only a further keyed hash, never the phone number, and never names, addresses or products. Other stores in the network see the totals for a number, never which store reported them.
4. Buying from cartlum.com
When you buy, we collect what the order needs: your name, email address, phone number, billing details and order history. Payments are handled by the payment provider you choose; we do not store card or mobile-wallet credentials.
5. Cookies
This website uses the cookies needed for the cart, checkout and your account. We do not sell your information.
6. How long we keep it
- Usage reports: while your store keeps sharing.
- Leaving reasons: kept to see why stores leave; you can ask us to delete yours.
- Licence records and orders: as long as your licence, our accounts and the law need them.
You can ask us to delete your usage data at any time.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email us at info@cartlum.com and we will answer within 7 days.
8. Changes
We will update this page when this changes; the date at the top shows the latest version.
